This cotton was taken off the back of a beautiful c1870-1880 French curtain panel. It was the curtain lining. Antique turkey red came in

various widths to accommodate these double width drapes-panels. This is a huge piece in excellent/good condition with some small stains.

One selvedge is not there as I didn\'t unpick the old small hand stitching. The old stitching can be seen along the one selvedge side. At first

I thought it was machine stitching but if you look closely the stitches are close but uneven in lengths.
