Lovely cartel wall clock made in France by Samuel Marti circa 1890, nice condition

Fine gilt bronze frame with nice openworked trims and flowers in high details, bevelled glass, enameled dial without any crack nor chip, gilt pierced hands

Outstanding 8 days *rack striking movement fully cleaned up and overhauled in our workshop, keeps good time, strikes hours and halves, nice sound

Comes with its original pendulum, winding key and regulating key supplied

Dimensions : 29 x 16 cm. (11½ x 6½ inches)*the rack-striking mechanism has the advantage, in comparison with the locking plate striking mechanism, that the hands may be moved without waiting at each hour for the full number of strokes.The position of a stepped spiral plate or ‘snail’, which moves with the hour hand, determines the number of strokes on each occasion
