French Belle Epoque era Sterling Silver 2pc ice cream/ dessert serving set by Parisian silversmith Charles Vincent, active from c. 1889. Comprising of an ice cream slice or serving knife and a scoop, or serving spoon, the silver handles are beautifully embellished with detailed foliage and floral pattern in classic Art Nouveau style. There is a mixed metal effect, the finely pierced blades are adorned with an engraved floral pattern on a gold-plated background. The set remains free from any form of personalization, no initial or monogram engraved.

Hallmarked sterling silver handles, the French Minerve or Minerva on each, the number \"1\" mark designates them as being .950 silver content (95% pure, higher than the .925 standard for sterling silver). Bearing maker\'s marks for Parisian silversmith Charles Vincent, active from 1889 till 1922 at 47 rue des Blancs-Manteaux in Paris.

In very good condition, normal general wear commensurate with age. Some slight dimpling to the handles, no dents, breaks or repairs to note. There is some wear or rubbing to the vermeil and a very small damage to the blade of the knife.

The slice is 11 3/8\" or 29,2 cm long, 1 7/8\" or 4,6 cm wide and weighs 96 grams. The serving spoon is 10\" or 25,4 cm long, 2 7/8\" or 7,2 cm wide at blade and weighs 90 grams. Total weight: 186gr.
