These arefour very beautiful high quality French Limoges Plaques from the 16th century, fixed in a 18th century frame. The four plaques represent the four Evangelists Marc, Matthew, Luke and John. Probably this four plaques are created by the young famous Limoges artist Pierre Courteys, activ ca. 1520 to 1586. Each plaque is dated P.C. 1522

Painted Enamel on copper.

Please note: The plaques have old repairs, tiny losses,hair-line cracks and a uneven surfaces.
