This French high-end petite sonnerie carriage clock is in as superb condition as I have ever seen. The movement appears to have been fully professionally cleaned and serviced - it is mirror shiny and runs, strikes and repeats perfectly on two gongs, hours and quarters, just like it was designed to do. Original silvered lever balance escapement is also very clean. The clock\'s leather case is, most likely, original, as it fits the clock perfectly and its condition is also superb. Most of the antique French carriage clocks lost their cases long ago and the ones that remain are very frayed. This one survived incredibly well, looks like it got very little use in its life.
