I have researched this pin and decided it is of French origin.The back has \"DORE OR FIN\" which roughly translates from French to \"gold plated\".There is no jeweler mark or other identifying marks otherwise.This pin is very similar to French pilot pins during WWII, however it lacks the ribbon decoration at the bottom of the wreathand the wings are not as detailed.If not a pilot\'s pin, it may have been a sweetheart pin.It still has the original pin back in good condition.Buyer accepts pin as is.
