This beautiful comtoise is an exceptional piece of art, in excellent condition overall.If you are looking for that one handsome clock to grace a corner of your home, office, library, etc... look no further, this is the one !!! This style lends itself to just about any type of furnishing or decor, quite simply timeless. Its really unusual to find such beauty and grace. It has a pendulum and 2 weights that make the mechanism work. Everything works great and the sound bell rings like a piece of history. The head part is removable and require 2 persons to move it.The antique solid oak color gives a taste of the Napoleon Empire era.Signed by Pere Gaillard, a well known french missionary.
