A very fine engine engraved solid silver eggcup with gilt lining by Cesar Tonnelier (Paris) 1845-1882. Has a blank cartouche to the front
Carries two Minerva head hallmarks. These are double sided. One has a tree on the other side and the other is difficult to interpret as it is inside the rim of the eggcup. Also carries Cesar Tonnelier’s mark of a quill feather and ploughshare plus the initial CT.
Condition: Beautiful with no damage. An exceptional piece of silver by a renowned maker.
