FRENCH STERLING SILVER COFFEE POT; RAOUL MAUGER, LISTED 1897 TO 1904

We are pleased to offer this unique French sterling Neo-classical coffee pot.

From the very rarely seen Paris shop of Raoul Mauger.

Listed from only 1897 to 1904.

Tapering bottle form with petal fluting. Neo-classical drapery and swag. Center with star burst medallion and diamond panel.

Cover with pomegranate finial atop cascading leaf and petal.

Duck bill cover pavillion mount spout.

Hand carved angular C-shape handle. Pinwheel rosette terminal above and silver collar and wood drop accent below.

This rare French sterling silver coffee pot is 8 3/4 inches tall and weighs 17 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

In excellent condition. Rich lusterous silver patina throughout. Stands firm on table. Interior clean. Original hand craved handle in fine state.The shell and swag decoration retains its detail.. Minor wear.
