Measurements: 30 inches wide by 22 inches high.
This is from a series of posters published by two schoolteachers Monsieur and Madame Rossignol in the Vienne,
which became the mainstays of mid century elementary schools in France.
Illustrated by the great Ray Lambert who revolutionised educational illustrations in 1930s France.
Picasso described him as \" The greatest schoolbook illustrator of all time \".
As well as their pedagogic value, these superb drawings with their saturated colours printed on heavy card evoke an ideal and tranquil world.
