What you see here is a unused Fully Functional Roman Gladius Sword. It is made of 1080 Carbon Steel. Measures 31 inches over all, the blade being 23 inches. Great addition to any sword collectors collection or a good start to a sword enthusiast. The scabbard is made of wood to keep blade from moisture. Note : this sword hasn\'t a lock to keep sword in sheath. This blade has to be cleaned and oiled after handling or will get rust. If rust starts, it is easy to remove. All you need is some \"liquid Wrench\" and some steel wool to bring it back to a shiny gleam. Make sure to rub it down with the liquid wrench of something similar to it after to keep it from forming rust. Any hand or moisture contact to the blade can start to rust the blade. I\'ve kept the blade in great condition, but refer to images for yourself for condition.
This blade was kept in a dry temperate place to keep it in perfect condition. Was never used in any fashion, just part of a collection.This blade ISN\'T A TOY.
