GEORGE WOSTENHOLM, IXL, SHEFFIELD, CELEBRATEDCUTLERY GOLD QUARTZ FIGURAL CHAMPAGNE KNIFE, c. 1950-60’S, 3 3/8”KNIFE, master flat clip blade, smaller pen and corkscrew from the back. Blades are bright. The smaller blade has afew light “freckles.” Top nickel silver long “bottle neck” bolsters. Inlaid gold quartz front scales with goodgold color and pearl back scales. This is a 1950-60\'s IXL knife, very nice, blades lightly cleaned. The gold quartz has good color and no cracks or chips. These knives are scarce. Several rare gold quartz knives are pictured in the book \"California\'s Best\" by Brad & Brian Witherell. NM

PRISTINE: Piece is mint. In addition, itsells itself in a powerful way.

MINT: Piece is the same as it was when it was produced. May have a minor crack in a handle, or afreckle, but no evidence of use or altering in any way.

NEARMINT: Nearly mint. Any deviation from mint is minor. If the item has been expertly cleaned, it must appear as mint, no evidence of use.

EXCELLENT: Item is in excellentcondition. Item shows only slight wear or discoloration, mostly all original.

VERYGOOD: Item is in very good condition. Light wear, perhaps 10%.

PLUS ORMINUS (+ OR -): This may be used to describe an item that may fallbetween the above categories.
