APPROXIMATE AGE:Mid 20th Century

APPROXIMATE SIZE: The earrings are largemeasuring approximately 3\" X 1 1/2\".The earrings each weigh approximately 24.40 grams or about 1 oz. and are therefore, considered moderately heavy. Not recommended for those withsmall ear lobes.

VINTAGE CONDITION:Excellentoverallvintage condition with no wearto the cabochons & no dull or missing rhinestones. All original. The clip backs operate properly & securely with very good tension.

SPECIAL NOTES:A breathtakingly beautifulpair of superb quality vintageHaute Couturefashion designer earrings. The earrings are each set with a round & oval shaped rich amethyst purple color transparent cabochon gemstone. The earrings also each contain four(4) faceted square shaped Montana Sapphire blue color rhinestones. The earrings are enameled throughout in a transparent burnt orange color very much in the style of Fulco Verdura.These earringsweredesigned by Gene Verri (Gene Verrecchia) for GEMCRAFT a company he co-founded after WWII. Verrecchia also worked for CORO as head designer for 30 years with many of CORO\'s most famous designs attributed to him. GEMCRAFT also manufactured fashionjewelry for Kenneth J. Lane, Capri, Kramer, Tancer, R. Mandle, and others.The earrings are far nicer & brighter than shown!!!
