An original and rare cabinet photograph of ULYSSES S. GRANT, Civil War General and President of the United States, taken during the Civil War in uniform as Commanding General of the Union armies. The negative, believed to have been taken by the Brady Studio, was purchased by M.P. Rice, a little known Washington photographer, who later published it in 1891 with copyright in his name......Size 4\" x 5 3/4\", with Rice credit, trimmed to fit album of the period.
