Short bio:
GEORGE JOHNSON,lawyer and legislator, was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania,August 7th, 1815. Не graduated from Jefferson College,Cannonsburg,Pennsylvania, in 1834, read law with Russell Marsh in Steubenville,Ohio, and was admitted to the bar in Portsmouth in 1837. Returning toSteubenville, he remained until 1841, when he removed to Portsmouth. Inthe fall of 1855 he became the law partner of Colonel O. F. Moore, withwhom he remained associated until his death, on April 14th, 1875.
