GEORGIAN SECRET OPENING LOCKET 19TH CENTURYThis beautiful 9ct yellow gold holds a secret compartment.
A beautiful oval engraved locket thatholds two images one of a Georgian lady the other of a pair of boots.
If only this locket could talk and tell us the history behind this fabulous item, who is the lady, andwhy is there a photograph of a pair of boots?
Perhaps she worshiped the ground her husband walked on.
This really is a special locket, in all the years I have been exhibiting Antique jewellery we haven\'t had the honour of one of these.
The locket holds two photographs
It snaps together perfectly to secure closure, there are two secure snaps you hear.
The locket has a lovely smoothness to it, which has developed with age.
The locket weighs 3.8 grams
The locket measures 18mmx14mm with a depth of 5mmThe photograph compartments measure 12mm x 10mmWe can provide a written Valuation on completion of sale.
