First Mark Circa 1939-1949
Very rare early signed GOEBEL 5-3/4\" hand painted porcelain colonial lady figurine that has the first Goebel mark (TMK-1) circa 1939-1949.
Details
- Hand painted porcelain colonial lady / woman figurine who is holding her skirt out to the side as if to curtsy.
- She is wearing a colonial style pink-ish lavender dress with green bow accents; long green gloves and matching green shoes and white hat /bonnet with a green band. The white underskirt or apron has a blue tint in the with the Goebel first mark (see photo).
Condition: VG-EXC (Vintage)
- Very good to excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, lines or crazing and displays beautifully.
- There are a few areas on the dress where the pink paint is a bit mottled or splotchy original to production - more noticeable upon closer inspection (not paint loss or wear as the decorations are under glaze). See close-up sample of back shoulder area.
