The first thing that strikes you about this stand is the condition, having just been restored by my very experienced restorer (50 years) it is consequently in excellent condition and is ready for immediate use in the home or for retailing in a prestigious showroom or fair.The second thing that strikes you about this stand is the colour and patination. The cabinetmaker that made this stand chose some very good quality timbers for the job, this has resulted all these years later in a stand with a gorgeous soft rich warm colour and patination that can only be attained by mahogany of this age and quality.
Thirdly are the proportions, the design of this stand is just right and the stand benefits from having a good balance, meaning that it “sits” well with a real “presence”
Now we know everything on is “fantastic” “glorious” “superb” “brilliant” “magnificent” “greatest” “resplendent” “superior” etc etc but when we say this is a very good stand we mean it.
