THE 110-120 VOLTAGE MOTOR OPERATES SMOOTHLY. THIS 222K FEATHERWEIGHT WILL OPERATE IN THE USA AND CANADA.
The serial number of this Featherweight is EL178542 which dates this machine to March 2, 1956. This amazing sewing machine is 59 years old.
Many of the edges have light reflecting from them.
222K Featherweights have the ability to easily lower and raise the feed dog using the sew/darn lever.
All of the Featherweights that I sell have been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, lubricated and tested. The testing consists of the machine going through a final 9 point checklist before being listed. The checklist is given toward the end of the listing description.
There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.
The sewing machine is ready to just plug in and play.
222K Featherweights have a graduated throat plate.
This gorgeous 222K Featherweight sewing machine runs smoothly and sews a nice stitch. It is a wonderful example of Singer\'s finest sewing machine.
The decals are complete, bright and shiny and are a deep golden color.
The black finish is bright and shiny. There are very few usage marks. There is a very slight indentation on the flip up bed that does not show on the photographs.
When looking at the photographs notice how all the chrome is clean, bright and shiny.
This sewing machine is a very nice 222K Featherweight that operates using 110-120 volts. It can be used in the USA and Canada simply by plugging the machine into a wall outlet. No adapter is needed. This machine is ready to use.

Many consider the 222K Featherweight to be the ultimate in Singer sewing machine design and engineering. This is a wonderful example of the marvelous Singer Featherweight freearm sewing machine.
When buying a 222K Featherweight make sure that the chromed retaining thumb screw that holds the removable sewing bed in place is not missing. It often is missing. The thumb screw can be seen in many of these photographs. It is found just below the Singer medallion.
The bobbin case is in place.
There are five new rubber bed cushions on the underside of the sewing machine replacing the rock hard 50+ year old rubber ones.
The light and switch both work as does the bobbin winder and the foot The Singer Canadian motor is the correct motor for 222K machines sold in North America. 222K Featherweights were sold in Canada but were never sold in the USA.
Original 110 volt 222K Featherweights sold in North America have Canadian made 110 volt motors installed. (There are a few British made 110 volt motors found on 222K Featherweights but they are very rare.) USA Singer motors were never original parts on any 222K Featherweight.
THE 110/120 VOLTAGE MOTOR OPERATES SMOOTHLY. THIS 222K FEATHERWEIGHT WILL OPERATE ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA.
The case is in excellent condition both inside and attachments and accessories shown in the photographs below are included.
An excellent reproduction of the 222K manual is included.
The stitches from this Featherweight are straight and tight with good tension and no skipping of the stitches. A sample of the stitching will accompany the sewing machine. It has been serviced and tested so that you can quilt, sew or proudly display the Featherweight upon its arrival.
If you are looking for a 222K Featherweight that is in good condition, clean and ready to sew out of the box this is an excellent candidate.
