Description:Antique estate Gorham Narragansett style, 1885 No. 2 patternsterling silver .925 5 o\'clock spoon, & IS monogrammed on the back of the bowl. I will let you decipher the elaborate three monogrammed initials. This exquisitely detailed Aesthetic nautical design features a sea shell bowl, barnacles, seaweed entwined handle, & crab. These spoons are often described as Narragansett, but it is not of that pattern, but made at the same time period & are hard to come by. The spoon measures approximately 5 1/4 inches long, & weighs approximately .560 ozt. The back of the spoon is marked with the Gorham lion, anchor, G mark, sterling & 2. The spoon is in good antique estate condition as follows;NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME SCRATCHING & WEAR CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE.
