GOTHIC CARVED HARDWOOD TRIPTYCH PAINTED PORCELAIN ICONcirca 1800's Here is a beautifully made and well carved triptych.A really high quality item.The left hand bottom hinge has had the hinge nails replaced at some time in the past and the tiny nails slightly show but could easily be hidden with some brown paint.Although I would leave it "as is" (part of the history).There is an oval porcelain plaque hand painted with Jesus in the crown of thorns.This is on a black velvet background. The oval plaque measures 58mm high x 45mm wide.
