Up for sale isan antique English Gothic Revival book slide, book case, book trough, bookends, from the last quarter of the 19th century.Made from the beautiful coromandel wood, this book slide is a fine example of gothic revival with its dark, rich patina, offset by the pierced, highly decorative,classically Gothic Revivalbrass plates which adorn and complete each end.The chamfered plinth provides a stable base from which the original hinges open the bookends which then slide out to graduated lengths.

Size: 13 3/4\'\' (contracted), 23\" (extended) x 5 3/4\" (width) x 6 3/4\" (height)

Condition: good, minor chips at corners; one brass plate slightly lifted at edge
