A stunning, early quilt for the advanced collector or anyone who appreciates beautiful quilting from 19th century America.
This quilt has an off white background with a tiny red polka dot print, this was commonly used as a shirting print cotton.
There are very light pencil pattern marks where she marked her quilt pattern.
It is hand quilted at 7 stitches per inch, it has quilted diamond grid work, and quilted grid work that measure about 3/4\" x 3/4\"
It is hand bound.
It measures 78\" x 69\"
Very good condition, never washed. There is age/water spotting, and a couple light fold lines on front and back. There is also some light age tanning that was too light to photograph.
Fabrics are strong and colors are simply fabulous!
