Here is a factory sealed \"test\" box of Galaxy Goons trading cards produced by NostalgiCards in 2002. The box contains 24 cello packs of cards. These boxes were printed on a very limited basis (only 300 boxes made - not cases - boxes!). They were done in the tradition of the \"test\" boxes produced by Topps in the 1960\'s. The word \"test\" is used often in the hobby to mean something done in an extremely limited quantity. With a print run of 1/10th or even less than other manufacturers these certainly qualify! The cards were styled after the great Odd Rod series of the early 1970s and parody Sci-fi pop culture inspired by Wacky Packages. For example: Star Wars (Par Wars, The Vampire Strikes Back, Chewtabaca, Darf Mule), Star Trek (Steer Trek, The Wrath of Prawn), Buck Rogers (Punk Rogers), Flash Gordon(Fish Gordon), and the X-Files (Hex Files) just name a few. There is also an oversized box topper promo (BP1) that is hand numbered out of 300 and autographed by the series creator and the artist. Each pack contains a bonus puzzle chase card and there is a real sketch card randomly inserted in each box. Note: There are 36 cards, 9 puzzle cards, and 9 header cards. The boxes break nicely on average yielding 2 sets each of the puzzle and header and close to 4 complete sets of base cards.
