Garbage Pail Kids Original Series 1 Though 9 Plus Extras Doubles Unopened Packs For Sale
Series 1 - 9 of the original Garbage Pail Kids sets. All of these are in 3x3 plastic top-load sheets, and have been since 1986 or 1987. I used to collect baseball cards, and these were a natural progression at the time. I treated them meticulously, as I did with all my cards. You will not find another collection like this, I swear! With a new baby, it is time for me to sell.Included in this sale:
Series 1 through Series 9 of the Original Garbage Pail Kids, both A and B sets (756 cards if I counted correctly), all in Mint or Near Mint condition
700-800 doubles, or more. I can't really tell, but it is a LOT. They have been in the plastic sandwich bags, in the original GPK boxes since I sorted out the sets. I honestly can't tell you what all is there, but as I used them to sort the Sets 1-9, there should be lots of cards from each series.
Two (2) Series 3 posters. They are in PERFECT condition.
Five (5) of the larger Garbage Pail Kids cards. These were a separate series, as you know, and are highly collectible.
Unopened Packs: One (1) Series 5, Four (4) Series 7, and One (1) Series 9
Twelve (12) of the original wax pack wrappers. Don't ask why I kept these. I have no idea. But I did.
An article on the lawsuit filed against Topps by Xavier Roberts, detailing the settlement that ultimately led to Topps having to change the cards as they looked too similar to Cabbage Patch Kids, ultimately leading to their demise.
A custom binder holds all of the sets, and has a brass plate on the spine, engraved "G.P.K." to show off your collection.
