This is a genuine Ottoman tile fragment from the Turkish city of Kutahaya. It dates to the first half of the 19th centuryIt measures 14.5 cm by 13 cm and is 1.2 cm in depth.It is very beautiful as can be seen- the colours and design and fresh and lovely. There are imperfections in the glaze- a result of the manufacturing process. There is one place where there is a little gap in the glaze and the drawn design on the earthenware can be seen beneath.I am selling a small collection of beautiful tile fragments this week- please take a look.
