This sweeping, sculptural Sterling silver ring was designed by Nanna Ditzel for Georg Jensen. Ditzel (1923-2005), already a very accomplished Danish designer, began to design for Georg Jensen in 1954, the first woman to do so. Her work in jewelry as well as furniture, textiles, and porcelain has been exhibited in several museums including the Louvre and Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

This statement piece designed c. 1970, is fully hallmarked Georg Jensen in dotted oval, 925 S Denmark, 91. Approximately a US size 6, it weighs 18 grams, measuring 1 1/8\" in front tapering to a 1/4\" band.
