Price reduction!A very rare and desirable Jensen coffee service. Hammered sterling silver w/ ebony knobs/handles. Near perfect condition with minimal wear. Note clarity and detail of hallmark information on bottom. Although this is design #1, Jensen produced design #2, Blossom, first. The design on sale here probably entered the marketplace around 1927. Georg Jensen Heritage in Copenhagen listed this set including the teapot tor $16,700+ a year or so ago. They told me that the teapot was very rare and worth roughly 1/2 the total set price. Given the lack of the teapot and recognizing that Georg Jensen Heritage is a high end retailer in the heart of Jensen land, this set is priced accordingly. A silver retailer would likely ask $6000, give or take. The starting offer here is considerably lower and is where a reserve would have been. I am a private seller. Please ask questions...
