George III Silver Teapot Robert Hennell I London 1794 Georgian Lion Paw Feet:

Lovely 18th century George III silver teapot with carved wood handle and knop and set 4 detailed cast lion paw feet with decorative flowers and foliage set around them. An elegant shape with varied fluted bands around the body, sweeping shoulders and domed lid with a sweeping spout. A gadrooned border sits around the bottom of the shoulders. The piece is free from monograms and engravings. Hallmarked for London 1794, maker Robert Hennell I.
It measures 11 1/2" long, 4 1/2" wide and 6" high. It weighs 695g/22.4ozt. Condition is very good; there is a small dent to the lid and just a couple of small dints otherwise to the body. A split to the knop on one side but stable and surface wear is light for age and use.
