Pair GeorgeIII Sterling Silver Cream Pail with Silver Insert – London circa 1811 lovely EnglishSterling Silver cream pail was made in London in 1811. It is fully marked on the underside of the base with Lion passant for sterling standard, the leopard\'s head for London and maker\'s mark WP (possibly for William Pugh). The pail has a beautifully pierced body with strapwork and floral design with beaded rim. It is mounted with an entwined decorated swing handle. This pail has a sterling liner insert, unlike others I\'ve seen with glass inserts. Monogrammed with HC (?) - see the picture.
Weight: 4.49 oz.
Condition: Good. It has some minor dents on the base rim and \"leans\" to one side. Look at the pictures for details.
Measurements: Height is 2 3/4 inches without the handle. The diameter of the top of the pail is 2 7/8 inches.
