A Rare and Beautiful George II Solid Silver Tankard.

Fully Hallmarked to base and lid for London 1755 with makers mark FW for Fuller White. Makers mark also on handle.

Stands an impressive 7 1/2” high x approx 4 1/4” across at base (not including protruding handle). Has a bellied body with an applied reeded band. Carries a large, 4 1/2” across, domed lid with a pierced thumb piece. Has a scroll handle with a heart shaped terminal and all on spreading circular foot. Weighs 735g.

Condition. Has a tiny 5mm dent to front of lid. Body front carries a monogrammed EJG from MSG 1904 and a 3 letter monogramme on heart shaped terminal. Underneath, alongside is an older looking P (star) C .. No splits or dents. An honest 260 year old piece of Antique Silver.
