Early mallard decoy pair by noted New Jersey carver George Strunk. They are hollow carved from cedar and have the rattle inside. They are done in the traditional Delaware River style. The decoys are unused and original with the usual small blemishes such as rubs and scrapes. The paint is in very good original condition except where sap discolored some of the top coat on the drake. The paint is solid and it did not lift the paint. It isnottacky. It has been this way since I purchased them about 10 years ago. This is so common with cedar dekes.
