A Georgiansolid silver mote spoon, makers mark only partially visible,possibly an I or L
The style of the spoon would date this spoon circa 1750. mote spoons ceased production circa 1770 givinf way to the caddy spoon
Pointed handle with a piercedbowl , this spoon would be used as a strainer withthe pointed end used for removing blockages from a tea pot spout.
Condition: Excellent , free from damage, just some light surface wear/ nicks to the edges. Very nice example.
Hallmarks: Struck twice with makers mark I? and a partially visible lion passant.
