This is a set of 2 lovely silkscreen prints done by Danish artist Gerda Christoffersen and printed by the well known Native American silkscreen company Tewa Enterprises. The prints are on a kind of soft \"fuzzy\" paper and have rich colors. The boy and girl seem to have an almost dancing step as they walk through the desert scene, wearing traditional dress. The prints measure 12 1/2\" by 10 1/2\" with the frame. The inside mat measurement is 6\" by 5 1/4\"(the actual print is larger as can be seen in the photo of the opened frame.). The prints are framed in matching wooden frames and covered with glass. The wooden frames have some nicks and scratches. The silkscreen prints are in excellent condition. Gerda\'s Christoffersen\'s silkscreen prints were sold in many of the gift shops of the western National parks in the early 50s. Gerda was born in Denmark and spent most of her life in Canada and the United States. She studied the culture of North American Indians and was considered an authority on the subject. She created a unique style of her own that came to be known as the Papoose Style.
