German 800 Silver & Etched Flower Glass Spirit Decanter:

This is a beautiful 800 Standard German Silver And Etched Glass Spirit Decanter. The tapering glass triangular shaped body has beautiful etched flowers, stems and leaves with a cut glass star shape to the underside of the base. It has a matt finish silver collar, sparrow pouring lip, tubular triangular shaped handle and flush fitting hinged lid which has a ball thumb piece and has a gilt lining to the inside. There are 3 very fancy entwined engraved initials in the lid which are “ASM” or “AMS”.

Identifying Marks: It is stamped with the 1/2 moon and crown for Germany “WTB” for the maker Wilhelm Vietor Binder – Schwabisch Gmund – founded in 1869

Dimensions: |It is 7.25 inches tall to the top of the ball thumb piece, the actual decanter is 6.5 inches tall and just over 3.75 inches wide from lip to handle. The top of the body is 1.75 inches in diameter and tapers out to 3.25 inches diameter at the base. The depth of the silver lid and collar is 1.25 inches. The total weight of this decanter is 378g

Condition: It is in very good condition

Remarks: This really is a very pretty German silver and etched glass spirit decanter that would look lovely displayed on a silver tray with some tot glasses. A lovely little decanter and not to be missed
