You are offerding on aHISTORICALcomplete Sefer Torah Scroll \"The 5 Books of Moses Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomythat was read in Ghetto Lodz and was saved from the Nazis and brought to Israel. The Torah scroll could of endedby being destroyed in the Ghetto after the owner wasdeported to Chelmno(Kulmhof) but before his deportation he hadhidden the scroll in an attic.He luckily survivedbyescaping into the forests where he wandered until after the war. After the war he returned to Lodz tofind the Scrollhe has hidden before his deportation.To his happiness the scroll was found but due to lack of care and storage conditions the scroll has been damaged by water and moisture. He brought the Torah to Israel and donated it to a synagogue were it was kept there until today. Description: The Torah Scroll is hand written on parchment by one scribe and not put together from several scrolls. The Torah is complete with no missing sections and the individual sheets of parchment are sewn together using a thread called \"giddin\" which is made from the leg sinews of a kosher animal, most commonly a cow, a sheep, or an ox. The Scroll has been damaged by water and moisture due to lack of care and storage conditions. It is noticeable that the present scroll was written by a scribe specially-trained, working under very distinct rules and every detail such as the words was transcribed with painstaking detail.
