I am talking responsibility for the content of this post that was communicated to me by the item\'s owner.The book displayed to the left of the pig in the main photo is for display purposes only and is not included with the bank. It was placed there to show the size differential between the two items. tyI am selling a vintage, rare piggy bank in the shape of a pig. It is made of chalkware (a form of plaster) and the mold line can be seen running from diagonally across the pig. (all measurements are approximations)This piggy bank weighs almost 13 pounds. It is ten inches tall from the base of its feet to the top of its back and add another three inches at its highest point (tip of the ear). Its width is 8-9 inches. Its length is 16-17 inches. The circumference of the middle of its back where the coin slot is located is 34-35 inches. The coin slot is between 1.75-2 inches and is big enough to deposit half-dollars and the older dollar coins. There is no opening/plug to get the $$ out. The buyer would have to either create one, shake the $$ out, and/or open it the traditional way......by breaking it open. This item was almost entirely painted with exterior/interior primer paint combination (except the eyes and mouth). Ino, one could display this item outside if the coin slot item is properly covered or sealed to prevent rain from getting inside. The eyes were unpainted and original to the item and the mouth was painted with a latex, multi-surface based paint with indoor and outdoor durability.If this item sells for the minimum starting offer, I will include absolutely free...the pink paint that was used to paint most of this item. In this way, if any part of the paint job came off during shipping...one could easily correct it.There were some coins deposited into the bank by the current owner. I don\'t know how much is in there or what coins were deposited inside. But whatever is inside comes with the bank.
