This is an extremely rare and sought after year and finish with its association to guitarist Randy Rhoads. This is a 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom with Alpine White finish. The guitar is not all original - it has had a professional refret, plek, new nut, tuning keys, Callaham ABR bridge, and I think the stop bar is a Callaham also - not sure. All work was completed at Glaser Instruments in Nashville, TN (the best in the business). I ordered all of the best parts when getting this guitar back in shape to play. Pickups were changed at some point. Neck pickup could possibly be original. There is a small hole that was drilled for some type of toggle switch at one time in between the two tone and volume knobs - see photos below. Please note the pick guard pictured on this guitar has a name etched into it and is covered and will be replaced with another one when guitar is sold. Has Schaller strap locks. Guitar has nicks and dings and finish cracks over the body - see photos - please zoom in for detailed view. With all this being said - Guitar plays and sounds amazing. The set up and work that Glaser Instruments in Nashville did is amazing. After all, the guitar is 41 years old. Naturally, these guitars are hard to find and when you do, they require a lot of work to get them back to a playable condition unless they\'ve not been played which is very rare. With this guitar the work is already done. The guitar is a player guitar and needs to be played. If you are looking for an all original vintage guitar to put under your bed, this IS NOT IT. The guitar really does have the Randy Rhoads look - it has aged beautifully as all the old alpine white guitars have. Guitar was used in two \"Solo Lesson Series\" lessons teaching two Randy Rhoads solos. Click on video links below. Guitar comes with a Gibson hard shell case but not the original (not sure).
