This three piece Gillette double edge Tech with Bakelite handle and leatherette covered metal case was issued to my father (1924-1979) after enlisting and serving in the U. S. Army 13th Airborne Division 1943-1946. Razor was identified as a 1938-1945 World War II Issue Tech using Achim\'s Gillette Razor Collection page online.

The razor has a black metal head and base plate with smooth guard bar and a black, tapered, eight-sided Bakelite handle. The head has no visible markings, the guard bar has \"PAT. NOS. ON PACKAGE\" on top side while bottom reads \"REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.\" above \"MADE IN U.S.A.\" below. Guard bar and head beginning to show signs of light corrosion. Rounded tip handle has Gillette logo on end with \"MADE IN\" above and \"U.S.A.\" below. The one used Gillette razor blade has numerous visible markings; company name, logo, patent numbers, and \"MADE IN U.S.A.\" along with \"tick marks\" to denote edge I/ edge II and a date code \"M 4\" which signifies it was made during the last quarter of 1942 for War production only. The black, or possibly dark blue, leatherette covered metal case is lined with blue felt. Gillette logo in white is clearly visible inside top lid with company name outside in lower right corner. Top of case has small tear and needs cleaning along with the razor itself. Case does not always line up when closed but hinge is tight and still snaps shut.

Razor and case have not been not cleaned and left in original As Found condition. Thank you for is the preferred form of payment on all sales.
