Up for your consideration we are offering this scarce hardbound edition of Godey\'s Lady\'s Book and Magazine, Philadelphia, Published by Louis A. Godey 1859. Book is leather bound with marbled boards and raised ribs on spine. Goes into great detail with descriptive fashions of the day, accompanied by a large number of full page woodcut illustrations of mostly women\'s fashions, accessories, notions, etc. There are some great color ones as well. Book is in good to very good condition, with very minor wear on spine edges and exterior extremities. Hinges separated but boards holding well. Interior is in nice shape, has a bit of very minor scattered age spotting and browning, first title page for Jan to June is missing, frontispiece page intact. One page loose inside. Book 8vo 9 1/2\" x 6 5/8\" A great illustrated source for mid 19th century Victorian period fashions, will make a very nice addition to your archive or collection!
