Very Good 19th Century Tea Caddy
Old estate via an antique sale, this is a very nice antique Tea Caddy. Made from wood and paper mache it has a black background with beautiful floral, bird, and gold scroll decoration. A variety of flowers decorate all four sides. Handle on the top, beautiful Asian form that looks like a temple. Handle on top, top is hinged. Inside are two wood boxes with floral lids, in the middle is a circular opening, there is a glass bowl (that looks like a flower pot and I would think is a replacement). The boxes can come out of the caddy.
In very good antique condition with minor wear. Displays beautifully, ready to show off.
Tea Caddy measures 14\" long, 8\" wide, 8\" tall. Nice size.
