Good Crested Scottish Georgian Sterling Silver Stuffing Spoon, c. 1769:
$165.00

Offered is a large and early Scottish Georgian sterling silver platter spoon by Alexander Gardner of Edinburgh, fully hallmarked for 1769. This piece is engraved with a very good armorial for a branch of the Campbell clan, a griffin sergeant holding the sun between its claws proper, surmounted by the motto Fidus Amici (\"faithful friends\"). This piece measures about 13 inches in length and weighs about 93 grams. Condition is very good overall, with no dents, splits or repairs, and only normal surface wear. However, there is a small area of scuffing (see pics) on the bottom of the bowl. All in all a lovely and useful piece with a very nice crest!Winning buyer pays $7.15 for priority mail shipping in the U.S.; shipping to the UK would be uninsured airmail and would be $18. Item may be returned within five days of receipt if item is not authentic or condition differs substantially from that described or shown. Thank you and please check out my other silver listings here and on the web! Thanks, \"Cliff Nunn Antique Silver\"
