Goofy Original Hand-painted Production Disney Art Corner Cel
One Owner, Purchased Early 1960\'s, Framed & In Excellent Condition
For your consideration is a vintage original hand-painted Goofy animation cel. Used in a Walt Disney production, we purchased it from Disneyland\'s Art Corner, and the well known gold seal certification is posted on the back. \"The\" place to purchase Disney animation cells at the time, these pieces are now part of many serious collections. is guaranteed by Disney to have been used in an original production (please see next-to-last paragraph). When I posted this item, it was the only Goofy hand-painted production cell on .
We were fortunate enough to be escorted by the chief legal counsel (a family member) for Walt Disney Productions, who picked out this cel for us as well as a Micky Mouse, which has been sold. Because of his knowledge, we\'ve always felt comfortable with its quality. Although we purchased only two cels, of course, now wish we\'d bought a dozen more! The art has been framed using heavy matboard, and the cel paint is in superb condition. Goofy has been used only in our family art collection, but we are downsizing and must let go of some beloved pieces.
The cel itself is 9.5\" x 11.5\" and the total framed size is 17\" x 15\". The frame is a solid barnished wood with gold trim. Goofy is costumed in a green coat with tail flying in wind and green pants. He has a pinkish/gray shirt and pink/red tie with his typical oversized brown shoes completing the costume. Adorable fellow! Goofy himself is approximately 5.5\" x 3.5\".
