This incredibly gorgeous neoclassical wallpaper was printed in France during the 19th century.The design features a beautiful cluster of roses, carnations and other flowers and leaves amidst neoclassical architectural elements,
one of which is edged with pearls.
There is also scroll work, tasseled cords and drapery which is entwined with floral vines.The colors include tones of wine, rose, pink, olive, aqua, teal, blue, grey, gold, burnt orange, brown and cream.The wallpaper measures 19 1/2 inches wide (with selvedge), 18 1/2 inches (without selvedge) x 28 1/2 inches longThis wonderful antique wallpaper would be beautiful framed!Condition:
This is an old wallpaper.
There are numerous horizontal creases and a few vertical creases.
There are some tears around the edges.
There are 2 areas where tears have been repaired from the back with tape:
one through the upper pink rose and the other in the lower left area, to the left of the scroll.There are also some spots/stains along the left edge.Please see photos for reference.
