This fabulous Day of the Dead Skull Money Box is cast from high quality polyresin and decorated with brightly coloured floral designs on a white background. Made to resemble a traditional Mexican Sugar Skull, it features a slot at the back of the skull to deposit your coins.

The money box can be emptied and refilled over and over, with a secure opening on the bottom to release your savings. It measures approximately 9cm x 11cm and is 12cm in height.

Although a Roman Catholic tradition, the ritual known as the Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated mainly in Latin America (on 1st-2nd November) which maintains the basic principles of the Aztecs. It centres around gatherings of family and friends in order to remember, honour and pray for loved ones who have died. Traditions include building private altars honouring the deceased using photographs, flowers and the favourite foods and beverages of the departed. Wooden or clay skulls are placed on altars while sugar skulls, made the the names of the deceased on the forehead, are eaten by a relative or friend.

Australian Buyers: I accept payment via Direct Bank Deposit, PayPal (Visa and Mastercard both accepted), or Australia Post money order. Local pick up from Ballarat is also welcome, although please contact me prior to purchase to ensure a convenient time can be arranged.

International Buyers: Payment using PayPal is preferred and must be made in Australian dollars (Visa and Mastercard both accepted). International money orders and bank deposits must also be made in Australian dollars as I cannot accept overseas money orders drawn in a foreign (non AU$) currency. Please note, it is advisable to find out what fees might be charged by your bank or financial services provider for sending international money orders or telegraphic transfers.

I am more than happy to combine shipping on purchases within a 5 day period and postage discounts will be applied automatically when you go through Checkout. Returns & Refunds: I will cheerfully offer either a replacement or full refund if the item you receive is faulty, damaged or different than described. As refunds and replacements may require the return of the item and its original packaging within 30 days, please contact me straight away if there is any problem with your purchase. Naturally, in the case of faulty, damaged or incorrect items, your return postage costs will also be fully refunded. If you wish to return an item for any other reason, then exchanges or refunds of the purchase price only (excluding shipping) will be offered when items are returned unworn, undamaged and/or unused, with any tags still attached and original packaging intact, at the buyer\'s own expense within 30 days.
