Description

Magnificent piece in a rarely seen form. Two pieces. Reticulated sterling silver base bearing the marks of Frank Whiting (see photo). Glass insert with beautiful etched floral motifs andstar burstbase. Measures about 6 1/4\" wide across the top. Base is just slightly narrower at about 5 7/8\". About 4\" tall. The glass has a very gentlepanelingeffect.Frank Whiting Silversmith was active from about 1878-1940s. Even morebeautifulin real life than in the photos!

CONDITION: Pre-owned older item. I see just one tiny irregularity on the reticulated silver as shown in super enlarged photo (very hard to find in real life). The thick glass insert is in great condition. I see just some circular scratches on the interior base. Given its age and material, expect that there may be a few other very minor light scratches. Pieces fit togethersnugly.
