Featured in this sale is a magnificentcabinet vase made by Rookwood Pottery. The vase is in excellent, near-mint condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs with only very-minor scuffing. This piece is almost 5\" tall and 3-1/2\" wide at the shoulder. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 6100 and the production year XXXI (1931).The vase features a beautiful, \"carved-melon\" art-deco motif and floral decoration within panels encircling the vase.This gorgeous glaze is a thick, matte dusty rose with a green overspray that has curdled on the vase. This glaze color combination was one of the most popular that Rookwood produced in the 1920s and into the art-deco 1930s. The vase does show some very tiny glaze variations.
