Featured in this sale is a magnificent flower or cabinet vase made by Rookwood Pottery. The vase is in excellent, near-mint condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. This ovoid little piece is 4-3/4\" tall, 4-1/4\" wide at the shoulder, and 2-3/4\" wide at the rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 6440 and the production year XXXIV (1934).This spectacular vase features a beautiful, incised geometric art-deco block design encircling the shoulder of the vase.This amazing glaze treatment is a matte green underglaze with an ocean-green crystalline overdrip. This glaze effect has the look of patinated bronze.The piece shows very light scuffing and minor interior staining from gentle use but is otherwise very clean. Check out all 10 photos!
