Featured in this sale is a gorgeous little cabinet vase made by Rookwood Pottery. The vase is in excellent, near-mint condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. This piece is 4-1/2\" tall, 3-3/4\" wide at the body, and 2\" wide at the rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 6094 and the production year XXX (1930). It is also stamped with Rookwood\'s 50th anniversary mark.The vase features a beautiful, incised carved-melon design with a band of small flowers encircling the neck.This gorgeous glaze is a matte dusty rose with a subtle green overspray that has curdled on the vase. The mold detail is slightly obscured by the thick drip glaze. This glaze color combination was one of the most popular that Rookwood produced in the 1920s and into the 1930s.The vase is very clean both inside and out with only very minor scuffing from gentle use.
