Featured in this sale is a magnificent flower vase made by Rookwood Pottery. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, overall crazing and no repairs. This gracefully-tapering form is 6-1/4\" tall, 3-1/2\" wide at the shoulder, and 2\" wide at the rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2312 and the production year XVIII (1918). There is also a \"V\" marked on the base signifying that the piece has a vellum finish over the glaze.This spectacular vase features a beautiful, incised band of geometricblocks encircling the shoulder of the vase.This amazing glaze treatment is a matte dusty-rose underglaze with a green overspray that has curdled on the vase.The piece shows very light scratching and scuffing, and minor interior staining from gentle use, but is otherwise very clean. The heavy crazing on the piece is to be expected due to the vellum finish, and there are small glaze pops visible inside the vase. Check out all 9 photos!
